Meet Caren

Caren Heilman, MS, LCSW

Caren Heilman Challenges are overwhelming and leave you wondering how you will get through the day.

Life is not always smooth sailing, especially when you are struggling with grief and loss, chronic illness, anxiety, relationships, or other life-impacting events.

You find it difficult to concentrate on school, work, or family, and you can’t seem to find a moment of peace.

The exhaustion you feel is disproportionate to your efforts, and leaves you feeling that you aren’t living up to your full potential as a parent, partner, or student.

It seems like even the smallest things can turn into conflict.

My approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration.

I integrate various therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, or a blend of approaches that are tailored to your needs.

In any case, I will be here to provide support and guidance as you explore, grow, and find the answers that work for you.

I am passionate about making therapy approachable, relatable, and effective.

If you are looking for someone to walk alongside you in your journey of healing and self-discovery, I would love to join you.

About Me

Helping others is my passion.

I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, in 2007, with a master of science in social work. For more than a decade, I worked at
Dell Children’s Hospital helping children, adolescents, young adults, and their respective families that were impacted by a childhood cancer diagnosis. Here I learned, first-hand, the power of empathy, understanding, and connection to heal and transform.

When I am not working, I love spending time with my family, watching my children play sports, loving on our family dog, and watching Longhorn football!
