My Approach
Your journey of healing and growth starts the moment you decide to reach out. Many of my clients have expressed that simply booking their first session brings a sense of immediate relief. Committing to therapy and engaging in the deeper work of resolving trauma or strengthening relationships is a transformative step toward lasting well-being, and I’m honored to be part of your process.
Whether you’re coming to see me for couples or individual sessions, we’ll work together to create a safe, trusting environment where you can be vulnerable and explore deeper parts of yourself as we work toward your goals.
With my training in neuroscience-backed modalities and a trauma-informed perspective, I’ll create a treatment plan that best meets your unique needs. In individual therapy, we will explore the deeper aspects of your patterns, attachment style, trauma, grief, childhood wounds, and any symptoms that may be holding you back. We’ll focus on accessing and integrating the parts of yourself that feel in conflict, wounded, or protected – those aspects that need compassion and healing.
Each part of you, even those that have worked to protect you, will be honored and given a voice as we work toward greater integration and alignment with your true, authentic self. I’m certified in EMDR and have training in several modalities, including AEDP, IFS, IPNB, and Coherence Therapy. I am also an Integrative Trauma therapist and incorporate tools like breathwork and polyvagal exercises to help you regulate your nervous system so you can move out of a constant fight-or-flight state and into a place of calm and balance.
In my couples therapy, I combine RLT, Gottman, and PACT techniques that blend cognitive and somatic approaches. This helps couples understand their thoughts and emotions while also recognizing and managing their body’s automatic responses during conflict, fostering deeper connection and healthier communication. You and your partner will learn tools to function more securely and effectively while building intimacy and connection in a deeper and more meaningful way.
A Little About Me
After earning my B.A. in Graphic Design from Penn State University, I shifted gears and pursued counseling at St. Edward’s University. My time as an artist and stay-at-home mom was a pivotal chapter that taught me invaluable life lessons, deepening my empathy and shaping my approach to therapy. I went on to earn my Master’s in Counseling from St. Edward’s, and as someone who believes in lifelong learning, I’m dedicated to constantly evolving as a therapist to offer the best support to my clients.
When I’m not cheering on my son’s basketball team, I love playing pickleball with my husband and stepsons and visiting my oldest son at college!
