Frequently asked questions

Our office is located at 6806 Bee Caves Rd (RM 2244), Suite 1A Austin, TX 78746. The parking lot is attached to the Chevron gas station parking lot. Be careful turning left out of the parking lot when leaving, as it can be hard to see people who are trying to turn left coming in to the gas station.

Parking is available in any spot around our building – look for posted signs.

Yes – our office is handicap-accessible.

A typical individual session is 50 minutes. When booking an EMDR session, we encourage booking 90-minute sessions to allow for regulation work at the end. Couples sessions range from 50 minutes to two hours. Group sessions range from 50-90 minutes. EMDR intensives are six hours per day.

Robyn’s fees are $185 / 50 minutes for individuals and $200 for couples. Caren’s fees are $165 / 50 minutes for individuals and $185 for couples and families. Our counseling interns – Adriane, Mike, and Cate – have sliding scale fees, generally around $30-$50 / session.

We use Open Path and Headway to keep sliding scale spots open for patients who cannot afford our higher range of fees.

Credit, debit, or HSA cards can be uploaded on the client portal for payment for appointments at the time of service.

Robyn is able to take some insurance plans – to determine qualification through insurance, clients can set up a 15-minute consultation with Robyn to see if she accepts their plan.

The rest of our clinicians offer super-bills.

Appointments can be cancelled free of charge 48 hours prior. This policy is strict; patients all get one “freebie” for illness / emergency, after which we will charge the full appointment fee. This policy is in place so we can fill the spot with someone waiting to see us. Keep in mind that attendance and consistency are essential to the success of our work.

Group therapy is different. Being part of the group, there is a commitment to attending and receiving a weekly charge to maintain group membership.

The length of treatment varies case by case.

For example, EMDR can be as short as six weeks or take many months, depending on how fast the patient processes what is keeping them stuck.

There is no set answer on “how long” someone needs therapy, but we continually review goals and progress throughout our time together and discuss termination when the patient feels they are ready to end treatment.
