About Westlake Psychotherapy of Austin
Westlake Psychotherapy of Austin was founded by Robyn Trimborn as a place where therapists will be proud to work, providing all clients with healing, as well as tools and skills that they will be able to carry through their lives with them.
With an emphasis on lifelong learning, Robyn encourages her entire team to continue working towards additional certifications, exploring new modalities, gaining experience with various treatment plans, and more – all the while continuing to provide high-quality, client-focused therapy.

Our office is located at 6806 Bee Caves Rd (RM 2244), Suite 1A & 1B Austin, TX 78746. The parking lot is attached to the Chevron gas station parking lot. Be careful turning left out of the parking lot when leaving, as it can be hard to see people who are trying to turn left coming in to the gas station.
Parking is available in any spot around our building – look for posted signs.
Yes – our office is handicap-accessible.
A typical individual session is 50 minutes. When booking an EMDR session, we encourage booking 90-minute sessions to allow for regulation work at the end. Couples sessions range from 50 minutes to two hours. Group sessions range from 50-90 minutes. EMDR intensives are six hours per day.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full fee. This policy is in place because your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you, and late cancellations prevent that time from being offered to another client.
If you are feeling sick, believe you may be getting sick, or are experiencing any contagious symptoms, please request a Zoom session or cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. This helps protect the health of other clients and clinicians.
If you arrive late to a session, your appointment will still end at the scheduled time and you may lose a portion of your session.
We offer one emergency or illness-related late cancellation per client, couple, or group member per calendar year without charge. After that, the standard 24-hour cancellation policy applies. If we can reschedule your appointment within the same week, we can try to accommodate you to avoid late cancellation fees.
The length of treatment varies case by case.
For example, EMDR can be as short as six weeks or take many months, depending on how fast the patient processes what is keeping them stuck.
There is no set answer on “how long” someone needs therapy, but we continually review goals and progress throughout our time together and discuss termination when the patient feels they are ready to end treatment.
